Giving to others is how we give to ourselves
Join me for the annual Thetis Lake Swim for MS and give the gift of fitness while you remain fit yourself
As a person living with Multiple Sclerosis and an open water swimmer, it was part of my destiny that I one day become the event’s director.
With the help of my incredible friend MJ VanBergen, each year, on the second to last or last Sunday in July the Thetis Lake Swim for Multiple Sclerosis sees over 100 swimmers participate in 1 of 7 events. With the shortest event being 800 meters, and wetsuits permitted, it’s a fantastic way for new open water swimmers to introduce themselves to the sport.
Funds raised from the event are used to help the newly formed MS Wellness Centre in Victoria. The centre provides face-to-face services for people in the community living with MS.
The event has been paused this year for COVID Relief. Stay tuned for next year by monitoring the Thetis Lake Swim for MS on the event’s website.
